Right now I've signed up for Club Infinite Earths and going to sign up for the 30th Anniversary sub. ('cause I was sure I'd like every figure - until Spector came along that is ).

So my question is: Anyone out there juggling this many subscriptions at once and not seeing it as overkill? I'm not really hating any figures that have been revealed so far, so I'll be happy to have'em all. I was also hoping that by signing up I'll lock in the current price of figs since they'll be hiking the prices for non-subbers and I was thinking it'll save me more money in the long run. I'm not familiar with how these subs work so any heads-up/warnings/pitfalls about anything that happens during an active sub would be appreciated.

So the convenience of not having to deal with that and the lower price point are both pluses.
The subs are worth it. Don't worry Spector is only part of the 30th anniversay sub which is different than the normal Masters sub. I signed up for club loin force and this is my second year with a MOTU sub. It's well worth the agrivation of trying to buy at the day of sale. And with them combining on shipping it's def worth it.

Thanks for the input miketime & ludo, think I'll just go ahead and sign-up, although I have this minute inkling that I might be digging my own grave here with 3 subscriptions at once...

And I was kinda disappointed with Spector, not to offend Toyguru or anything (Congrats on him getting his design made into a figure), but it's like Deadpool & Spawn infeasibly having an illegitimate kid who got in with the Royal Flush Gang. He should be some DCUC Create-a-Character, he doesn't seem MOTUC-ish in the slightest.

@ludovicotek: I always assumed you were already a MOTUC subscriber for some reason

I agree completely. With this being the 3rd create a figure in a 6 figure line called 30th Annaversary I was expecting well actual Masters of the Universe characters from the mini comics or something. The last three figs better blow me away and make the mini sub worth it. I'm already digruntaled about having Swiftwind as part of the sub but Bubble power She-ra the only fig who can ride the horse is not part of the sub and is for sale on the same day. So more money and shipping. It's like thrwoing $9 out the window.

I was able to resist getting them until I slipped up and bought one of the MOTUC/DCUC 2-Packs. Once I opened them I was hooked.

Man, I didn't even think about that. That's a pretty dumb move on their part. That She-Ra could have easily been the variant figure included in the sub.

I think Scareglow was my first MOTUC, he's easily my favorite, but I got him off eBay for hefty price. Since I was pretty late into the game and all.

I've heard that this She-Ra is an improvement over the last one. So would it be better for me to just skip out on the She-Ra in the DCUC/MOTUC 2-Pack. I'm partial to the new armor. And I'm not really that fond of the Supergirl that's included (will be waiting for a Relaunch version).

Anything I'd be missing out on?

Your not missing anything by not getting that DC MOTU 2 pack. The Bubble She-Ra is similar but different from the previous one but it is better IMO. I would still want both but try and find the first release of She-Ra cheaper than the 2 pack.

Well, you'd be missing out on the head with her classic tiara and the red cape. Check out this feature from TheFwoosh.com where they go over the new one and compare her to the first release. Pretty interesting how you can mix parts to create some variations. After seeing this I went ahead and picked up the first release She-Ra on eBay (got her for $25 shipped ) so I can do the same.

My only pet peeve with the subscription was that by subscribing you are supposed to get the first release of each figure. Towards the end of my subscription, I started getting packaging that said "the original" on it, meaning it was actually the second release. This happened three or four times. I finally decided to call about it and was told that they could not control which release I was given. Say what? Anyway, for me personally it wasn't a huge deal, but a bit of an annoyance. It was the principle of the thing!

As for the new figures, loving the look of Slush-head and Stinkor!

Damn Evantainment. That's unfortunate. Isn't the whole idea of that "the original" burst to clearly distinguish between the first and subsequent releases? I would imagine that means they produce enough of any given figure to supply all releases of that figure and some of the ones with the burst found their way into the first release's supply. That would mean they have a crapload of figures sitting somewhere in a warehouse, just waiting for their second releases.

We need to find this warehouse.

Yes we do. My guess is Cali or Singapor.

One of these days, I really need to plop down the cash and get me a King Grayskull, Hordak, Horde Prime, She-Ra, The Faceless one, and Evil-lynn(the one with swappable unmasked head if they make it).

I really want to get the two pack she-ra with supergirl, but don't want the supergirl figure. I really wish they would have extended the MOTU vs DC sets for one more round. They really should have made a Darkseid vs Hordak pack. That'd just be too freaking epic.

I'm really looking forward to Horde Prime, Slush Head, and what appears to be Horde Troopers!

Star Sisters 3 pack moved back to Feb.

5) Considering everything that is currently planned for January, have there been any discussion about moving one of the scheduled subscription releases, such as the Star Sisters, to the much slimmer February line up?

This is due to the 30th anniversary series. We wanted to have two 30th figures to show at SDCC which meant one needed to come in Jan, the other in March. If we started the 30th program in Feb we would have only had one figure to show at SDCC (the Feb figure). But to help, we are going to move the Star Sisters from Jan to Feb to space things out a bit more.

I think it's great to spread things out more especially around the holiday season. Thanks for pushing them back. The next step is to take them off of the sub all together.
