Mine definitely is and I love it. She was an X-Men fan purely based on the cartoon when I first met her. Since then she's gone through my entire Marvel library and since signing her up to Digital, she's read more comics than I have time to catch up to these days.

Last week I got her to play co-op GEARS 3 with me for about 3 hours. She helps me on my hunts for figures when she can if I'm still looking. She watches anime with me too.

And yet...that's just a fraction of our activities together and what makes her awesome. As geeky as we can be and as much as I love collecting, playing video games or whatever, we are a very active couple. We do a lot of hiking, we indoor rock climb 3 times a week, go out on the town together, travel. For my 30th this year in Dec. she reserved a cabin for us out in Mammoth Mountain for 4 days so we can snowboard and have some time to ourselves on the mountain.

The fact that she demonstrates an active interest in many of the things I also enjoy makes it that much easier for me to want to invest my time in activities she enjoys that may not have always been my thing. She also challenges me quite a bit. She's much more active in the Ocean than I am and has helped me to overcome my fear of it, after nearly drowning twice in my teens from rip currents and big waves, and got me back out snorkling and paddle boarding this year.

Geekiness is cool and a definite plus, but it takes a lot more to keep people interested in the long-term. For those of you who have that...well, consider yourselves lucky. I know I do.

You can talk about what's inside all you want but when I have to lay with the girl in the long term, she'd damn well better be something that I want to look at.

I'm *the*_Chris and I'm addicted to boobies!!!
Yeah, I got lucky then. My gf is very very geeky when she wants to be. She showed up to my door looking like this three months ago because I had a horrible day at work.

(Fuk Mi costume from Austin Powers) She's the one on the left.

Before one decides if they or their GF is a geek wouldn't we need to agree upon a definition of what a geek is first?

When I was a kid there were geeks and nerds, and they were typically unpopular, usualy smart, and socially inept.

Some where along the line it became cool to be a geek. I think the kids that were geeks when I was a kid grew up and got high paying jobs. Now there is a whole geek sub-culture where you're either in or out.

If geek equals into toys, then no she isn't.

Just as long as she's not a Gleek I'm good. Can't stand musicals, unless it's the Blues Brothers.
