Really nice piece from a couple years ago. 1/12 scale, currently hanging with Mezco’s One:12 Peacoat Popeye on shelf. In my head they’re both grumpy cops in a buddy cop movie and kick ass while talking junk to each other.
Action figure photography from the Toyark team, one shot at a time!
Pic by: Joe Moore. A throwback look at the 7 inch scale TDK Joker from NECA. They put these out under special rules due to the Mattel master license, so there wasn’t a full on line. Just random figures from the movies and TV shows as they could. The new McFarlane one is solid, but this one is out there on secondary market if you want to swap parts or snag weapons. Full gallery is here.
Mafex John Wick, first one from movie 1. Played off the posters from the third movie with him looking into the Continental doors. Got a piece of glass, spritzed it, lit with city BG print out and colored lights on it. Lettering was done in Photoshop afterwards. Bring on Chapter 4! You can check our full John Wick galleries here.
G.I. Joe Classified Major Bludd. So this isn’t a super action shot or anything, but I love how the light picked up the sculpt on the face. Good lighting can really show off all the work they do in like an inch of space! Check out Classified News at HissTank.com or my galleries there before I paused. Hope to get back in gear with Joe this year.
World War Robot NOM HINKON from Underverse. For those into the 3A era Ashley Wood figures, they’ve continued on under a new name Underverse. They also have a pretty dope 1/18 scale line too. Check our full gallery for this guy here, and check the Underverse website for more.
Hyper Real Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (our Hyper Real galleries here). This was done on camera in one shot, posed in front of monitor with lighting to match the scene. Used clear stands lined up with the steps in screenshot so minimal fixing was needed. Lit up the sabers in Photoshop.
Threezero DLX Transformers The Last Knight Optimus Prime. I have the bigger one too, and they are both stunning in person. I still prefer old school boxy Prime, but he’s sharp AF here. Shot in studio with a screen shot background on the TV, then blended in with effects via Photoshop.
