I'm just saying wouldn't you wanna see something original instead of just remaking movies especially when in most cases they end up just not being good at all?

I don't think its bad, its something humans have always done with stories, retell them and update them to reflect new ideas or changes in society.

this movie looks like its going to be very bad, i know i wont pay to see it, that black girl is clearly supposed to be winston and when i say winston i dont mean the color of their skin i mean the only one not apart of the ghost busters from the start, i mean people are saying they are "new" characters and not just them with swaped genders but clearly if he was female. but thats just my two cents on the movie.

WHAT BUGS ME is that their trailer made me think this was in the same universe as the original movies...only for me to later find out online that it's not.

I thought that too when I first saw the opening of the trailer, then I saw that and thought lame. If anything if they did make it like a sequel I would be more welcoming to it.

Exactly! But eh they're trying something new, guess you can't hate it. The box office will be the one that will tell how well this actually does.

Exactly you hit it on the point. If anything cast an Asian chick haha or something like that swap the characters around a bit but it's basically making them reprise the male characters into female ones, assuming I'm saying that correctly.
