Very nice pics...I also really like having access to all the old Black Series galleries.

DESTRO 10-14-2013 08:56 AM

Such a great line, nice pics! Han shot first.....

Nightrain 10-14-2013 11:51 AM

All the naked joints is a little unsettling. But regardless I'm really stoked for this wave.

trebleshot 10-14-2013 12:01 PM

Yeah, I'd almost want less joints on Leia. Still, great pics and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Optimus Neeson 10-14-2013 03:27 PM

Eh, no. I like the joints, because Leia is at her most nimble while wearing this costume. She never runs, jumps, climbs, or attacks anyone in any of her other costumes. She's just a pretty statue in all of her other scenes. But in this costume, she jumps on Jabba, swings a chain around his neck, chokes him to death, runs and jumps around the upper deck of the sail barge, controls its massive twin-canon, and swings on a rope. Only one other character is more athletic than her in the original trilogy, her brother Luke. She needs those joints.

On another note, I was initially worried the paint applications on Leia would be abyssmal. Now I see they're decent.
All I have to worry about now is that horrible sculpted hair on Yoda.

MintCondition 10-14-2013 10:09 PM

I would have preferred Bespin Leia to be the first version out, but I'll take what I can get. She still kicked butt in her slave outfit.

Not even remotely true. She is the best marksman in the original trilogy, and she does attack other people in all three films in costumes other than her slave outfit. She usually just shoots them instead of being a gymnast or using parkour.

ANH: shoots multiple Stormtroopers in her diplomat/Princess outfit.
ESB: shoots multiple Stormtroopers in her third Bespin outfit.
ROTJ: shoots multiple Scout Bikers/Stormtroopers in her Endor fatigues. Also shoots one of Jabba's guards in her Boushh disguise (albeit off-camera).

I do agree Leia is at her most athletic in the slave outfit, but I would argue that she had to be until she was able to get a gun. ;)

Updated with Wave 2 Boba pics. Black Series Boba Fett (Wave 2) High Res Gallery - The Toyark - News

Check out the SDCC version for some additional shots, basically same figure. Black Series Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite High Res Gallery - The Toyark - News

Boba is a gorgeous figure.

I know I know. I realized it while I wrote that comment. I chose not to regard her scenes with blasters because they didn't require any athleticism.

Exodus 10-15-2013 04:06 PM

Not a collector of these, but they are pretty nice.

Thugnificent 10-15-2013 07:10 PM

I'm enjoying that I'm catching this line right at the start. Those look great. Boba Fett & Greedo look impressive.

Joe Moore 10-16-2013 04:44 AM

So far the Greedo, the Troopers and Boba Fett are my favorites of the line. Not digging the Slave Leia too much.

Han Solo is online! - Black Series Han Solo High Res Gallery - The Toyark - News

Joe Moore 10-16-2013 11:14 AM

Han looks decent as well. I think the Luke turned out a bit better overall, but the additions of the glove hands and removable vest are nice touches.

trebleshot 10-16-2013 11:51 AM

Looks like I'll be wanting Han and Boba out of this wave. Still need to pick up Luke and R2 from wave 1.

...I just felt a great disturbance in my wallet.

Nightrain 10-16-2013 06:17 PM

I'm leaving the belt off but he will be wearing those gloves. Kinda wish he wore them throughout the film.

Star Wars Black Series Wave 2 Artistic Photo Shoot - The Toyark - News

Updated with a round of artistic shots from Wave 2

BEAM 10-17-2013 09:54 AM

Great photos, great figures.

Only negative is the flesh color on Han's arms where his sleeves end. It doesn't remotely match the flesh colored plastic and looks like he has yellowish arm bands.

Otherwise, I'm loving this line and can't wait to get mine when my BBTS pre-order gets fulfilled.

Black Series differences in International versions

Do we have any idea if there are chances Black Series figures look slightly different (decal offsets, weathering, colour) when manufactured at non-US factories?

I.e. US released Boba has the round decal on the left side of his chest located at the top left hand corner. Whereas, trilogo Canadian retail Boba has the decal slightly to the centre of the left side of the chest.

Do we have any documented evidence of variations like this either on the figure or on the box?
