Mike Costa has posted on the IDW Publishing message boards, hinting at some upcoming story arcs for the Transformers ongoing series from IDW.
- Issue 12 concludes the current "International Incident" plotline. - Issue 13 will be a self-contained tale. - Issue 14 kicks off the five part "Revenge of the Decepticons" arc. - The three after that make up a three part story called "Space Opera". Costa does not consider this an arc, but two arcs and an epilogue. - This will be followed up by another pretty major three issue arc. - Issue 25 will be a stand alone issue, and... that's enough for now. So there you have it, some vague hints about what is happening in the next year's worth of Transformers ongoing comics. Discuss this news on our 2005 Boards by hitting the Discuss button. |

Moving away from Transformers: Prime, it’s movie time. As scheduled, Transformers 3 Detroit Filming ended on 27th September, 2010. Main highlight of the filming was the Giant Jet. Many rumors flying around it (No pun intended). Latest news about that ship is that it’s a Decepticon. TFW2005’s J1000 informed us that one of the crew said "if we got see the Decepticon ship yet?”.
Actor Tyrese Gibson stated “Detroit.... We’re ALL DONE in your town.. God bless you ALL we were ALL treated with the best of respect and love...”. He then posted a pic of Optimus Prime's Driver for all 3 Transformers Movies. Check it out by clicking on the Title of this article. Cast and Crew were busy with their duties. Tyrese ran between filming of two movies (other being “The Fast And The Furious 5”), Rosie even missed the launch of her Picture Biography (“Ten Times Rosie”) back in UK. Shia too was busy with the release of “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps”. To wrap-up our TF3 Detroit News Coverage, here’s a look back at what happened: 1) 60s Era Set and a Jet-Train Rumor (This rumor is no longer valid). 2) A Chevrolet Impala, a Chevrolet Chevelle SS (Later foundout that Epps is the driver in the movie). 3) Close-up images of the Giant Jet. 4) Transformers 3 Patrick Dempsey’s Character Named (Still a Rumor). 5) And another rumor regarding the identity of the Mack Fuel Truck. Filming Crew is now heading to Florida. Meanwhile Nelson over at the S4TE stated that “International [filming] locations and dates are not being released due to security issues”. As reported earlier, Transformers 3 Filming is scheduled to end in Mid or Late October. A special “Thank You!” to all who contributed with News, Images and Videos. “I'm sure there's cameras up there and I'm sure we'll see them on the Web," Lorenzo Di Bonaventura said, referring to buildings overlooking the set. "It shows the enthusiasm." |

Bet You Know It is the most inclusive TRIVIAL PURSUIT game yet and wedges can be earned on each of your turns. At the start of each round players bet on whether or not the person answering a question will get the question right. If the players are correct, they double the number of chips 'bet'. U-BUILD CONNECT 4 (Ages 6 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $19.99/Players: 2/Available: Now) At the start of the game, players set up the U-BUILD CONNECT 4 game unit, adding brick-based pieces that act as checker bumpers and blockers during the game. Position these pieces in any formation. The bumper 'arms' can rotate on the game board for more strategic moves. Or place an orange blocker brick on the game grid to change the direction of the bumper arm. Take turns dropping a checker into one of the top slots. See if you've set the bumpers in a way that helps your checker land in the row that you'd intended. Connect four in a row to win! U-BUILD MONOPOLY (Ages 8 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $19.99/Players: 2-6/Available: Now) MONOPOLY is giving players the chance to choose how long they want to enjoy a game with U-BUILD MONOPOLY, a new concept in MONOPOLY game play. Decide to use the Starter Track for a 30-minute game before dinner, or try the Classic Track for a 60-minute game during family game night for longer-lasting fun. Once you've perfected these tracks, move onto the Pro or Freestyle Tracks for the ultimate gaming challenge. In U-BUILD MONOPOLY, you choose, you build, you play! When the WEEBLES characters land, they are rewarded with fun music and sounds before wobbling off for another ride. Open the door to reveal a secret space inside the tree to hide a playful WEEBLES figure. Have a dance party on the wobbly tree house deck or take a spin on top of the lookout post. Takara-Tomy have updated their Transformers site, adding a new page for Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy. While there are no pictures that we have not seen before, a new feature on the site features comments from the designer, who goes into a little detail on some of the design choices for Masterpiece Rodimus - such as, for example, how Rodimus Prime was originally designed to embody the aesthetic of an American comic hero and how the Hot Rod to Rodimus transformation embodied growing up, leaving behind sports cars and getting a family camper van instead. He closes by saying how, 24 years on from the original release, he hopes you can look upon Masterpiece Rodimus Prime who does not only transform, but whose design has also grown up.

Cybertron 2nd Commander Rodimus Convoy, which transforms into a futuristic truck will be at last released to celebrate the year 2010. The release of the flagship model of Rodimus Convoy has been anticipated for a long time because he is an unusual commander, not a typical historical Convoy commander. I assume that there are many people who found it hard to understand the new 'concept' such as 'the round' body shape like an american comic hero and 'atypical(for robot heroes)' colours of maroon and orange. Also, the original toy was sold for about a half of the price of Convoy commander and so it was not a very convincing toy for a successor to the great Convoy. However, i'm sure there are many people who felt "something special" about Rodimus Convoy and other characters from "Transformers 2010" as a child. Hot Rodimus was designed to imagine "hotrod" and a typical young american man and then transforms into a campervan to show his growth and new role. You can say that these profound intentions of the design can be understood as we grow up and have a greater vision/understanding of things. 24 years after. It's 2010 now and our world has not become the futuristic world that we imagined back then, but why don't you think about that feeling you felt then, and that future you thought of, as you take Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy which does not only transform, but also has grown up. |

Transformers 2010 Unicron Was Released In Japan not too long ago, and now we have a review courtesy of 2005 boards member Wyvern! A repaint of Armada Unicron With Deadend, this version of Unicron features an all new head sculpt based on his appearance in the 1986 Transformers Movie. The new paint job has more collector's appeal than the toyetic look of the Transformers Armada version.

Like Rodimus? Like black repaints? Then you'll want to check out the December issue of Hyper Hobby magazine. The December issue will contain an order form for a mail away exclusive black recolor of Transformers Animated Rodimus (which will probably only be available to Japanese residents). He's only shown in silhouette on the scan sent over to us by 2005 Boards member DrillBIT, but if history is anything to go by, he'll be your traditional black with silver accents redeco, and maybe will have some silver or even purple flames.

There is a new Transformers Trademark filed by Hasbro at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) says Transformers At The Moon.
This new Trademark is called “Transformers One”. It may look as though it might be for the first movie, but this is a new filing rather than a renewal. The trademark is categorized under “Entertainment Services” and unlike other TF Trademarks it does not carry a right for toys yet (by the date 28/09/2010). You can view the Original Trademark Document by visiting the USPTO Official Website. |

That's right folks, the numerous special sales that site sponsor HobbyLink Japan currently has going on will all end on October 1st JST(Japan Standard Time). Stateside that means sometime tomorrow. Some Transformers items can be found here, meanwhile, everything else can be found on their dedicated HLJ sales page(s). Here's what they had to say:
Last Chance to Grab Those Bargain Goodies! All our current special sales will end at 6m October 1 (JST), so now's the time to grab those bargain-priced goodies you've had your eye on! Special sales will soon be back bigger and better than ever, so please stay tuned to HLJ! Are you a Macross fan, and/or customizer that wants to make a modern version of G1 Jetfire based on the original toy? Then you might be interested in the 1/60 VF-1S No Paint Kit! Bear in mind that the VF-1 is a small aircraft compared to something like the F-15, in fact it's closer in size to the smaller F-16. However the toy is close in scale(not size) to Masterpiece Starscream! How's that for a role reversal, in the G1 toyline, Jetfire towered over Starscream! Get your orders in now! |

Various interruptions threw the Transformers 3 Washington, D.C. Filming Dates, this way and that. But, it seems as though we finally got a filming date. TBD.com reports that Josh Friedman, spokesman for the D.C. film office, told them yesterday:
“It looks like Transformers 3 is now locked in for the week of October 11. Mostly the same locations as previously reported, but there are a few items that are still being finalized. Once all of the details are locked in, in the next few days, public notifications (traffic alerts, etc.) will be going on from various agencies with more information.” Speaking of Interruptions, there is a speculation that the Kennedy Space Center shoot has been pushed (at least a couple days) due to weather. CFNews13 reports that “Scenes from the upcoming sequel “Transformer 3” are scheduled to begin filming Wednesday at the Kennedy Space Center -- but heavy rain in the area could steal the scene”. However, there is no official statement for that matter. Stay Tuned With TFW2005 For More Transformers 3 Filming News. |

Two great names are joining together; NASA and Transformers. NASA is collaborating with Hasbro using the correlation between the popular TRANSFORMERS brand, featuring its leader Optimus Prime, and spinoffs from NASA technologies created for aeronautics and space missions that are used here on Earth. The goal is to help students understand that NASA technology 'transforms' into things that are used daily. These 'transformed' technologies include water purifiers, medical imaging software, or fabric that protects against UV rays.
The Innovative Partnerships Program Office at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., in conjunction with NASA's Office of Education, has designed a video contest for students from third to eighth grade. Each student, or group of students, will submit a three- to five-minute video on a selected NASA spinoff technology listed in the 2009 Spinoff publication. Videos must demonstrate an understanding of the NASA spinoff technology and the associated NASA mission, as well as the commercial application and public benefit associated with the “transformed” technology. Video entries are due by December 31. The OPTIMUS PRIME Spinoff Award promotes NASA spinoffs, recognizes innovation through technology transfer and promotes innovative communication of spinoff stories to the public through video. The OPTIMUS PRIME Spinoff Award will serve to acknowledge the contribution of both NASA innovators and the companies that spun-off NASA technology for commercial applications, as well as to educate America’s youth about the benefits of NASA spinoff technology. Head over to the NASA Official Website and to the NASA The Innovative Partnerships Program Office Website for more Info. |

Hasbro has sent us some new official Transformers images, revealing the never-before-seen third assortment of Stealth Force basics! Stealth Force basic wave 3 shows it's not just four wheels that rules the roads with Autobots High Wire and Knock Out. High Wire, you may recall, was also the name of a pedal bike from Transformers Armada who became a motorbike in Transformers Energon. He's still a stunt bike in this incarnation. Knock Out meanwhile is a Can Am Spyder, one of those vehicles which cannot help but look cool.
Also in this batch of official images, we have the official images for the recently released Star Wars Crossovers Clone Gunner / Republic Fighter Tank, and the upcoming Speed Stars Battle Pack Enforcer Ironhide VS Mixmaster - which features the set in the color schemes released in RPMs, rather than the ones shown at Botcon. Improvement or not? You be the judge! Check out all the official images by clicking on the title of this story. |
