Star Wars Black Series SDCC Obi-Wan Kenobi Gallery

SDCC 2016 has come and gone, but today we are jumping into some galleries for items from the show. First up is the Star Wars Black Series Obi Wan Kenobi exclusive. The 6 inch figure features old Ben as we know him from Episode IV, cloth cloak and all. The SDCC set also comes with an exclusive accessory – the table seen in Luke’s hut on Tatooine where R2-D2 projected the famous Princess Leia call for help hologram message. The piece also lights up and plays the message! We’ve run Ben through the motions, check out over 70 images after the break!

Hood is better than Kylo, but still hard to look right
Cloak seems to want to push behind, can’t do a full frontal drape
Ben’s lightsaber blade super tight in hilt, snapped.

Overall
Great figure. Didn’t really get a chance to investigate before it’s release as I was prepping for SDCC. Once in hand, I was happily surprised. It’s a classic character in 6 inch form, what really gets me hyped for Black Series. It’s a throw back to the earlier waves of the line in style and feel. On the shelf, has an instantly recognizable stance. The SDCC hologram table is awesome – the light is bright, the sound is loud and pretty close to Leia’s voice. Bottom line, he’s a great pick up if you can grab him now or via mass-release when he drops later this year.
